I open my eyes, and what do I see?
Certainly not what I had expected when I awoke from my slumber;
I see trees and fields of symphonic colored flowers, dancing in the air’s morning flurry,
I see rivers rushing, and watch how they kiss the rocks as they travel,
I see streets of gold; oh see how the pavement glitters!
I see brushstrokes of dancing of color that move across the sky, many that we could only dream,
I see my family, my friends, and many others who came before me.
I see a world untouched by man, unsoiled in its perfection, and untainted in its beauty.
But this cannot be.
Where am I?
If this is a dream, do not disturb me lest I should awake.
No, go back He says
Your time has not come
A glimpse of what awaits you is what you have seen,
But your time has not come.
I awake, the room is colorless, and the air is heavy,
Welcome back, the doctor says
You gave us quite a scare.
Pain, Memory, UnderstandingPain...
Why can’t I remember?
Why is this tearing me apart...?
What did you do?!
I'm not crazy,
I have forgotten...
Like a flash of light,
Like a crack of thunder,
It’s very much alive!
You lied to me,
You tore me apart...
And I never saw it...!
Why did you do this to me...?
Didn’t you love me?
Why do you make me live through this pain?
What did I ever do to you...?
Why can’t I just live in peace...?
It wasn’t really you...
You can’t hurt me anymore,
You can’t have me anymore...
And I will never let you do it again...
Not to me,
Not to my children...
You can’t have any more of my life,
It belongs to my someone.
You can’t cause me anymore pain,
He has taken it away.
You won’t make me doubt,
He gives me strength.
You can’t have my heart,
Keep in Touch!
